Welcome to Ari May Studio.
I am an Indonesian-born artist based in Fallbrook, California, inspired by the quiet beauty of nature and the places that invite us to slow down and truly see. My paintings and sketchbooks are born from observation—walking, noticing, and spending time with the natural world. Whether I am exploring a peaceful marina, the California desert, or a hidden garden, each piece begins with a simple moment of curiosity.
I believe that nature is our greatest teacher. Through painting, I hope to share not only what I see, but also the sense of wonder, stillness, and connection that these moments offer. My work is an invitation to pause, to look a little closer, and to discover the beauty that has been there all along.
